The young micro-technology company temicon GmbH in Dortmund is manufacturing micro and nano structured components based on the technologies lithography and electroforming for high-tech applications, such as display, micro-optics and bio-technology.
„The business is developing above plan. We are happy about the strong customer demand for prototypes and volume products and expand accordingly with innovative equipment technology“, explains Dr. Oliver Humbach, Managing Director of temicon GmbH.
For its R&D activities the company invests into two electroforming pilot units aiming at further specific developments of material and product properties of micro components. The clean-room laboratories are completed with large format equipment, a sputtering unit for the metallization with nickel-vanadium, chromium and potential other metals and an electroforming unit for nickel deposition. Micro structured products with a size of up to 500 x 600 mm2 can be manufactured with main focus on display technologies. Furthermore, within coming weeks a large format microscopic measuring station for an automated optical quality control will be brought on line.
