temicon GmbH in Dortmund is a young micro and nano technology company. The company was founded in October 2005 from the managing director and shareholder Dr. Oliver Humbach. The business year 2007 was again finished with a positive EBIT. With currently 7 employees the company has acquired an excellent position in the innovative market "Micro and Nanostructure Components".
The year 2008 will become the year of expansion for temicon. With several micro products the company will launch high-volume production step-by-step during 2008 and 2009. Therefore, from April 2008 onwards the equipment, cleanroom and personal capacities will be more than doubled.

R&D project "Steep-Edge Metal Foils"

In tight cooperation with ML&C GmbH, Jena, temicon has recently worked on the R&D project "New microstructured steep-edge metal foils" that has been funded from AiF in the frame program PRO INNO II in the time from March 01, 2006 until September 30, 2007. The goal of the project was the technology development to manufacture microstructured steep-edge metal foils for products like nozzle components, micro sieves or vaporizer nozzles.
The results of the project are a remarkable development leap that already in 2008 and following years will result in new products like dosing and vaporizing nozzles as well as micro filter foils.
