Research and Development

temicon participates in various R&D projects in cooperation with partners from industry and research institutes. The aim of the public funded projects is to have an impact on the development of products for industrial or commercial use.

temicon's R&D projects range from the development of innovative lighting management products for the next generation of display or LED lighting technologies, micro-optical micro-optical structures for a better use of solar energy to completely new micro-fluidic structures with application in life sciences.

In addition to new products and services, our R&D projects also drive the development of breakthrough technologies for the mastery, tooling and replication of micro/nanostructures.

An overview of the respective projects with temicon's participation is shown below:

HyperSol FKZ: EFRE-0801483

Duration/ May 1, 2019 - December 31, 2022

In the framework of the HyperSol project plasmonic active nanostructures will be processed. Such patterns in combination with photocatalytic materials are used in a solar reactor.

This reactor uses sunlight in order to convert CO2 in valuable energy sources such as methane or methanol.

LaserRoll FKZ: EFRE-0801659

Duration September, 2019 – December 31, 2023

The LaserRoll project will develop a novel digitized laser direct structuring technology for printing rollers that will set new standards in the fields of printed electronics or security features thanks to its process efficiency.
